Captain Rudy Thomas is a native Tangierman. His unique manner is that of a true Tangierman. He and his family have "worked the waters" of the Chesapeake Bay for five generations plus. In fact, this is the fifth genereation of Thomas' to run the mail route as it is called from Crisfield to Tangier Island. The boat you will travel from Crisfield to Tangier is named after his daughter, Courtney. The Thomas family were all born and raised on Tangier Island. They are admired and respected by all those who know them. Tangier Passenger Transportation Seasonal , the Joyce Marie III departs from Onancock, Virginia on the Eastern Shore of Virginia daily to Tangier Island - 10:00 AM

Seaonal, Steven Thomas departs from Crisfield Maryland on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay daily to Tangier Island - 12:30 PM.
Also, the Sharon Kay III departs Tangier each day at 4:00 PM, arriving Crisfield for a round trip back to Tangier each day. Leaves Crisfield for Tangier at 5 PM daily. (7 Days a week)
